THIS IS A COMBINATION A/C, ALTERNATOR & POWER STEERING BRACKET SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR INSTALLING A 292 WITH
EITHER A 1975-77 OR 1978-89 STYLE WATER PUMP, OR A 153 194 215 230 OR 250 INTO A 1948 OR OLDER CHEVY CAR, OR A 1955 FIRST SERIES OR OLDER GM TRUCK.
IF THAT IS NOT WHAT YOU ARE INSTALLING YOUR ENGINE INTO, THEN PLEASE SEE 10090 OR 10091 INSTEAD.

THESE BRACKETS ARE TIG WELDED PLAIN STEEL AND COME READY TO PAINT. JUST WIPE DOWN WITH SOLVENT AND PAINT.
THESE INCLUDES HARDWARE AND INSTRUCTIONS.
IT DOES NOT INCLUDE COMPRESSOR, ALTERNATOR, PUMP, BELTS OR PULLEYS.
IT HAS ADJUSTMENT AVAILABLE FRONT TO BACK TO HANDLE DIFFERENT BELTING COMBINATIONS.

1) 292 ENGINE USING THE 1975-77 OR 1978-89 STYLE WATER PUMP OR A 153 194 215 230 250 ENGINE.
2) GM 10SI STYLE ALTERNATOR.
3) GM SAGINAW TYPE 1 POWER STEERING PUMP. SEE NOTES.
4) 2 GROOVE PULLEY ON POWER STEERING PUMP.
5) NON-INTEGRAL CYLINDER HEAD.
6) STRAIGHT UP OR ADJUSTABLE SIDE CONNECTION WATER NECK (FROM SBC).
7) SANDEN 508 (SD5) STYLE A/C COMPRESSOR. OTHERS MAY FIT. COMPARE CASE DIMENSIONS.

WHAT THIS DOES NOT WORK WITH:
1) NOT FOR 292 ENGINES USING 1963-64 OR 1965-74 STYLE WATER PUMPS.
2) DOES NOT WORK WITH INTEGRAL CYLINDER HEAD.
3) NOT INTENDED FOR VEHICLES THAT ORIGINALLY HAD THESE ENGINES IN THEM DUE TO THE UPPER RADIATOR
HOSE ROUTING AND HOW HIGH THE ALTERNATOR SITS MAY INTERFERE WITH HOOD CLEARANCES ON NEWER CARS.

NOTES OF INTEREST:
1) CAN BE USED ON 153 194 215 230 250 ENGINES. IF YOU ARE DOING THIS AND ARE PLANNING TO USE
THE COIL IN CAP HEI, THEN YOU WILL WANT TO USE THE SMALLER 5-1/2″ WATER PUMP PULLEY (NOT THE 7″ DIA.).
2) CAN BE USED ON A 292 THAT IS USING A WATER PUMP & THERMOSTAT HOUSING FROM A 153-250.
3) WORKS WITH ALL STOCK & AFTERMARKET EXHAUST MANIFOLDS AND HEADERS.
4) WORKS WITH ALL INTAKES EXCEPT 3X1.
5) WORKS WITH BOTH 5-1/2″ & 7″ WATER PUMP PULLEY SIZES ON THE 292.
7) PS PUMP NEEDS A STUD NEXT TO THE PRESSURE HOSE CONNECTION AS SHOWN. DO NOT USE A STUD AT ANY OTHER LOCATION.
KEYED SHAFT PUMPS ARE RECOMMENDED. 1969 TRUCK 6CYL PUMP WORKS WELL FOR REFERENCE.
SHAPE OF RESERVOIR ISN’T RELEVANT. BOTH “MILK JUG” AND “A-FRAME” STYLES WORK FINE.
8) WORKS WITH ADAPTED 235 VALVE COVER.
9) MOVES THERMOSTAT HOUSING FORWARD 1/4″.
